David founded On-Call Legal in 1999 on a standard he had wanted as a litigator and could not find: treat every service of process, every court filing, and every messenger run as though a case turns on it, because one usually does. That standard is still how the firm measures itself. Papers served correctly the first time. Filings confirmed the same day. A named person accountable for each assignment rather than a ticket number.
The longer aim is to take court logistics off the attorney desk entirely. On-Call Legal covers all 58 California counties and files nationwide, acting as one point of contact for process serving, eFiling, subpoena work, records retrieval, and litigation support. Legal teams should be spending their hours on the case in front of them, not chasing a proof of service.
